This tunneling company industrial yard was causing serious dust problems in the yard and a neighboring school. Choking dust clouds migrated to nearby homes and businesses. After heavy rains, the gravel washed out and rutted making parts of the site unusable. Frequent gravel refilling and maintenance was mandatory. Concrete was costly and would require additional detention from the city.
Project Scope
Circular elements provide multi-directional crush and shear strength and flexible links allow expansion and contraction depending on environmental conditions.
The built-in X-Anchors allow weight of filler to hold grid down without any extra stacking.
Solution
TRUEGRID with a hard 1/2" clean limestone fill. The compacted gravel yard was graded, leveled and had TRUEGRID installed. The angular hard limestone fill was added to the grid and lightly compacted. SuperSpots parking and traffic markers were added to improve the efficiency of the lot, direct truck traffic and delineate parking.
TRUE RESULTS
The site area is now highly resistant to oils, gasoline, acids, salts ammonia and alcohol.
SuperSpots delineate parking and traffic flow and are long-lasting.
